AnnotationThe ectomycorrhizal root system of 5 years old Norway spruce seedlings from prevailing microhabitats, coarse woody debris and forest floor, is described in terms of the lenght and biomass and the number of ectomycorrhizal types. The results are discussed in relation to the bark beetle deterioration of the Norway spruce forest stand in the Šumava Mts. National Park and the conditions for Norway spruce regeneration.
