Der Eintrag im Tagebuch Christof Popel von Lobkowitz', dass ihm Bartholomäus Spranger am 17. Mai 1604 ein Gemälde des hl. Hieronymus geschenkt habe, wird hier in Beziehung gesetzt zu dem Stich mit gleichem Sujet, den Lukas Kilian 1610 wahrscheinlich nach eben diesem Gemälde anfertigte

An entry in the diary of Christoph Popel of Lobkowicz recording that, on 17 May 1604, Bartholomäus Spranger gave to him a painting of St. Jerome, is linked here to an engraving executed probably after the same painting by Lucas Kilian in 1610.
