The article deals with the oldest phases of the construction of the municipal church in Hlubčice (today Glubczyce, Poland) from around the half of the 13th century. It tries to prove that the building was conceived as a three-nave church with a hall from the very beginning. This would mean the Glubczyce church is a very old example of a municipal church with a hall not only in the Czech Lands, but in Central Europe as a whole.
