The catalogue is the first comprehensive work on the co-operation of Josef Sudek with the Družstevní práce publishers in 1928 - 1936. It analyses Sudek's commercial photography above all of china, glass and metal utility objects made by Ladislav Sutnar and Bohumil Južnič, it hints at the tension of functionalism and "chaos" in his commercial photographs. The catalogue comprises new prints of Sudek's original negatives, owned by the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It is supplemented with profiles of artists who co-operated with Sudek in his work for Družstevní práce (e.g., Emil Filla, Emanuel Frinta, J.E. Koula, etc.).
