Publikace obsahuje výbor z publikovaných prací i dosud nevydaných studií moravského historika umění V. Richtera (1900 - 1970). Kromě autorových teoretických a metodologických úvah (na něž reaguje komentář prof. Jana Patočky) zahrnuje celou škálu témat především z oblasti raně středověké a barokní architektury a řešících problematiku vzniku měst.

The book includes a selection of published works and unpublished studies by art historian V. Richter (1900 - 1970). Besides the author's theoretical and methodological reflections (given a response in a commentary by prof. Jan Patočka), it covers a broad range of topics, above all from the segment of early-mediaeval and Baroque architecture and those related to the founding of towns.
