Překlad anotace	A painting of "The Temptation of St. Benedict" in the National Gallery of Slovakia in Bratislava is attribued here to the Flemish Italienate painter Nicolo Renieri. It is shown that the artist, in conceiving the figure of the saint, was inspired by an antique statue of the Falling Gaul, as had been Titian and some others before him.
