Die Arbeit analysiert auf der Grundlage der erhaltenen Verzeichnisse des Habsburger Kaiserhofes aus den Jahren 1576 - 1612 dessen nationale und soziale Entwicklung, und zwar sowohl einzelner Teile als auch des Hofes als ganzem. Sie belegt seinen in sprachlicher Hinsicht überwiegend deutschen Charakter und berücksichtigt auch die Wirkung des Prager Umfeldes auf seine Zusammensetzung.

On the basis of preserved lists of the imperial Habsburg court from 1576 - 1612, this study analyses the development of the court in social terms and in terms of nationality, as regards both the individual segments and the court as a whole. It proves its German-language character and observes the effect of the Prague environment on its structure.
