A prototype of a miniature device based on molybdenum strip for in situ collection was designed and performance of this device was studied. Optimization of trapping efficiency of analytes (As, Se) with respect to surface modification (noble metals ů Au, Ir, Pt, Rh), to the influence of the composition of carrier and stripping gases and related gas flow rates, to analytical figures of merit and the analytical lifetime of the vaporizers was investigated. In addition to results of atomic absorption spectrometric measurement, data of complementary radiotracer and radiography experiments with 75Se were obtained in order to provide information about the net trapping efficiency and spatial distribution of an analyte in the trap.
