Keywords : di- and tricarboxylic acids * GC/MS * tropical aerosols
Subject RIV: CB - Analytical Chemistry, Separation

Gas chromatography/mass spectrometry in combination with high-energy collision-induced dissociation was used for characterization of novel di- and tricarboxylic acids in fine size fraction of tropical aerosols collected in Rondonia, Brazil, suggesting that the acids may have significance as markers for atmospheric oxidation and cloud nucleation processes.
