The formation of DHB-ion clusters in MALDI-TOF MS spectra was used for calibration in the region of about 0-2000 Da. The method was compared with the method of self-calibration spectra of polymeric standards. The calibration based on the formation of matrix-ion clusters can be used for determination of low-mass glycopeptides and oligosaccharides.
