AnnotationBased on the magnitude of the acting field, on the properties of the analyte and in some cases, on the flow rate of the carrier liquid, different elution modes are observed. They differ in the type of resulting concentration profiles of the analyte inside the fractionation channel. Three types of the concentration profiles can be derived from the general transport equation and three basic elution modes were described.
