    AnnotationPb (TeO)1-y(PbCl2-zOz/2)y glasses ((y=0.17-0.64)(z=0.40-0.57))were prepared by melting. They were charecterised with measurementsof transmission and reflectivity. Possible source of their red colourwas discussed. Individual absorption bonds were assigued tocharacteristic vibrations.
