Studie se opírá o výsledky reprezentativního výzkumu "Dekády české transformace" a zjišťuje, že v souvislosti s uskutečněnými sociálně institucionálními přeměnami v politickém a ekonomickém systému došlo k vytvoření hybridní sociální struktury, v níž se prolínají tři typy sociálních difernciací: přežívajícího rovnostářství,vznikajícího třídně polárního rozdělení a meritokratické stratifikace.

The study based on the results of the 1999 representative survey on "Decade of the Czech Tranformation" states that in connection with the accomplished institutional and social changes in the political and economic system a hybrid social structure emerged in which three types of social differnetiation are intertwinning: the inherited egalitarianism, the emerging polar class relationships and meritocratic stratification.
