    AnnotationStať se zabývá historickými kořeny konfliktu Čechů a sudetských Němců, jejichž kulminačními body bylo ustavení samostatné Československé republiky, zničení ČSR pod záminkou ochrany německé menšiny a posléze vysídlení Němců z českých zemí. V závěru jsou uvedeny výsledky sociologických výzkumů z devadesátých let zachycující reflexi těchto událostí ve vědomí české společnosti.
    Description in EnglishThe article is dealing with historical roots of conflict between Czechs and Sudeten Germans and its highlights including establishing of the independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, its destruction by Nazi Germany allegedly defending rights of ethnic Germans and postwar expulsion of Germans from Czech lands. Final part presents outputs of opinion polls reflecting the history in contemporary Czech society.
