    The article is intended to contribute to the clarification of the concepr of spirutuality as used in the psychology of religion. The role of this concept is analyzed with regard to its role our understanding of contemporary transformation of religion as seen by C.G.Jung and M.Eliade. To improve the definition of spirituality, it is recommended to make full use of the concept of implicot religion and implicit spirituality as its counterpart.
