A helminthological examination of 51 specimens of the Florida pompano, Trachinotus carolinus from three localities of the coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico, revealed the presence of the following species of parasitic nematodes: Cucullanus trachinoti, Capillaria (Procapillaria) gracilis, Ascarophis sp., Echinocephalus sp. larvae and Hysterothylacium sp. type MD of Deardorff and Overstreet, 1981 larvae. All findings represent new host and geographical records.
