In northern Bohemia, a transgression of the Cenomanian sediments over the crystalline basement is exposed only at the foot of Maršovický Hill. Here, trace fossils suggesting both bioerosion and bioturbation were recognized in metavolcanite rocks underlying the Upper Cretaceous transgressive sediments.
