Definitions of biozones which are based on non-marine aquatic verteberates are made for Upper Carboniferous and Lower Permian basins of the Czech Republic. Each biozone is charakterized by a complete list of vertebrates, invertebrates, and ichnofossils and by a selected list of megaflora AND SPORES. The presence of biozones is commented upon five basins of the Central and Western Bohemian area (Plzeň, Rakovník, Kladno, Roudnice, and Mšeno basins), two basins of the Furrows area (Blanice and Boskovice furrows), and four basins of the Sudetic area (Česká Kamenice, Mnichovo Hradiště, Krkonoše Piedmont, and Intra-Sudetic basins). Possible correlation between biozones, which are based on aquatic vertebrates (Bohemian, Moravian, and supposedly also Silesian North-Sudetic basins) and amphibians (central Europe) in discussed.
