    AnnotationMagnetic properties of soils are controlled by presence of ferrimagnetic minerals. Basic magnetic properties of soil minerals are presented and possible mechanisms of magnetic enhancement of soils due to increased concentrations of secondary ferrimagnetic minerals are discussed.
