The differentiation of brown adipocytes is associated with increased mitochondrial biogenesis and expression of components of respiratory chain/oxidative phosphorylation system. This study analyzes the expression of key regulatory molecules of this process, namely NRF-1 and ů2, Sp1 and PGC-1, during late fetal development and in brown adipocytes differentiated in culture.
