AnnotationRats foraging in an arena with movable inner disk and immobile peripheral belt were trained in darkness to avoid a 60 sector defined in substral idiothetic frame. Impairment of their navigation by angular disk-belt displacements indicates the idiothesis must be update by intramaze cues.
