AnnotationThe surface of reinforced carbon-carbon composites was modified bypolishing or coating with a carbon-titanium layer. In culture conditions, this improved adhesion, spreading and proliferation of the vascularsmooth muscle. This makes the reinforced carbon-carbon composites ofa potential use in transplantation medicine for construction ofartificial implants.
