High bromide intakedecreased the amount of iodide accumulated in the thyroid, changedthe proportion between the amount of iodine retained in the thyroidand the total amount of absorbed iodine, significantly shortened thebiological half-life of iodine in the thyroid, changed the time courseladded a furthrer phase of iodine elimination from the body.
