    Partially devitrified Fe- and Co-based metallic glasses are presented in this review. Size-dependent phenomena and the symmetry restriction create the surface contribution to the effective magnetostriction. Magnetic interaction between particles and the observed effects of temperature and hydrostatic pressure are discussed.
