Annotation	The review of the critical dynamics near ferroelectrics and antiferroelectric phase transitions in Cd₂Nb₂O₇, LiNaGe₄O₉ and PbZrO₃ is presented. It is shown that in all cases of displacive phase transitions the polar soft mode is coupled with another overdamped excitation of a central-mode type.
