Subject RIV: BH - Optics, Masers, Lasers

This paper deals with a relatively new theory for the noncontact measurement of small deformation tensor components of an elementary area of the object surface by means of the method availing the statistical properties of the speckle pattern. This method is based on the so-called decorrelation of a speckle pattern.
