The behavior of zero-phonon lines in optical transitions of transition metal impurities in ABO3 perovskites with a soft TO lattice mode and phase transitions is of great interest. These lines are strongly sensitive to variations of lattice symmetry and impurity's environment, and interaction of impurity centers with the TO mode leads to new effects.
