A series of samples of hydrogenated amotphous silicon (a-Si:H) was prepared from silane diluted highly with He by themicrowave electron-cyclotron-resonance PECVD. Such a wide gap a-Si:H emits room temperature photoluminescence in visible region. It is report also on room temperature electroluminescence from p-i-n junctions.
