The monography describes the history of astronomy in Clementinu and later on in State astronomical observatory, Prague. The main period is 1556 (arriving of Jesuits to Prague) till 1945. Period of Tycho Brahe and Jesuits order are treated particularly. Meteorological observations and the mathematical museum are also mentioned.
