Byla nalezena pravá spodní čelist bovida v řece Úpě v roce 1997. Stratigrafická pozice nálezu je nejasná, protože byla nalezena v současném korytě řeky. Čelist může pocházet ze starých jeskyní z okolí Maršova a Svobody nad Úpou nebo ze starších říčních sedimentů. Podle morfologie patří čelist praturovi. Srovnáním osteometrických měr z různých lokalit z paleolitu a neolitu lze říci, že nalezená čelist spadá do spodní hranice variační šíře praturů. Jelikož se našla pouze jedna čelist v nejasné stratigrafické pozici, nelze udělat definitivní závěr.

A fragment of the right bovidŽs mandible was found in the Úpa river in 1997. The stratigraphic position is not clear, as the bone was found in recent river channel. The mandible may have spring from old caves from the surrounding of Maršov and Svoboda nad Úpou or from older fluvial sediments. From morphological point of view the mandible originates from Aurochs. The osteometrical data lie in the lower sector of the range for Aurochs from the Neolithic and Palaeolithic Age. The described jaw must be from a small form of Aurochs or it is a female. Because only this one mandible was found and due to the lack of available osteometrical data of bovidŽs mandibles we are not able to draw definite conclusions.
