Bearbeitung der Mühlsteine aus der abgeschlossenen Grabungsetappe 1954-1992 in Mikulčice. Auswertung des Komplexes von 456 Stücken ist ein Beitrag zur Geschichte der frühmittelalterlichen Technik und zur Kenntnis der Wirtschaftsentwicklung von Mikulčice. Konzentration der Mühlsteine im Bereich der Befestigung, der Tore und des Flussarmes rundum die Burg ist wahrscheinlich ein Beleg der absichtlichen Vernichtung des Wirtschaftspotentials der Siedlung.

Elaboration of the millstones from the closed period of excavations in Mikulčice in the years 1954-1992. Analysis of the 456 millstones pieces is a contribution to a history of technology in the middle age and also to knowledge of the economical development of Mikulčice. A great concentration of the millstones near the fortifications, gates and in river beds is probably an evidence of purposeful destroying of economical sources of the settlement.
