On the basis of structural study of material the studied temple rings with silver surface (dated up tomid-10th - early 12th centuries) were sorted into 4groups according to the type of material (A-D). Type A - silver plated copper, type B - compact silver, types C and D have a silver layer on the surface, but the inner core is constituted by the alloy Ag-Cuwith a higher content of copper. Materials C-D differfrom each other both by the character and the thicknessof the layer, and by the chemical composition andstructure of the inner core. A reconstruction of production processes was caried out.
