Račiněves is an example of the Lower Palaeolithic site that was deliberately established in the inundation zone of a large river, on a delta of smaller streams. Hunters, who clearly butchered their prey here, using heat to prepare the portions before their transfer to a base camp, repeatedly used it for short periods.
