Kniha se zabývá různými aspekty rostlinných invazí, od ekologie důležitých invazních druhů a jejich vlivu na invadované ekosystémy přes složení a strukturu nepůvodních flór až po kontrolu a management invazí. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována srovnávacím studiím druhů téhož rodu.
