Annotation
In this work we have examined the effect of specific .alpha., and .beta.-nucleation on the deformation behaviour of PP in the high-strain and low-strain regions. Stress-strain measurements revealed a softening effect of the .beta.-nucleation manifested by lower values of modulus and yield strength, while the .alpha.-nucleation accounts for a distinct hardening and decrease in plasticity.
