AnnotationExperiments indicate that water nucleates from the vapor phase in the form ofsupercooled liquid droplets at least down to 205 K. We present a thermodynamic model enabling aplausible extrapolation of the quantities needed for the classical nucleation theory: density, surfacetension, and saturated vapor pressure. The model is based on the assumption that water consists oftwo structures, the low-density structure, and the high-density structure.
