Receptivity properties of a free shear layer have been studied experimentally. Excitation has been performed using synthetic jet parallel or perpendicular to the shear layer issuing near the shear layer origin. Substantial significance of both excitation frequency and synthetic jet orientation has been shown.

Pomocí experimentálních metod byla vyšetřována receptivita volné smykové vrstvy. Buzení bylo prováděno pomocí syntetizovaného paprsku, který byl generován v blízkosti počátku smykové vrstvy a byl orientován buďto rovnoběžně nebo kolmo ke smykové vrstvě. Byl ukázán vliv budicí frekvence a orientace paprsku.
