Článek odhaluje míru, do jaké byla zahraničněpolitická jednání vedená československými exilovými představiteli v letech 2. světové války ovlivňována traumatickým prožitkem Mnichova. Autor sleduje tento dopad na případě vztahů se čtyřmi zeměmi antihitlerovské koalice, které hrály důležitou úlohu při rozhodování v dramatických dnech konce září 1938, jmenovitě Velké Británie, Francie, SSSR a Polska. Dospívá k závěru, že mnichovské trauma hrálo klíčovou úlohu v procesu rozhodování o zahraničněpolitické orientaci poválečné republiky.

Articdle reveals the measure to which the foreign policy negotiations led by the Czechoslovak officials in exile during the WWII were influenced by the traumatic experience of the Munich Agreement. The author folows this impact in the case of the relationship with four countries of the anti-Hitler coalition that had played significant roles in the process of desicion-making in the dramatic days of late September 1938, namely Great Britain, France, the USSR and Poland. He concludes that the Munich trauma plaed a crucial role in the process of setting the foreign policy orientation of the post-war republic.
