AnnotationUsing 2002 matched employer-employee data we provide evidence on the size and structure of the Czech gender wage gap after the 2000 introduction of western-type anti-discrimination policies. Despite the new legislation, within-firm sex segregation continues to account for about one third of the gender wage gap while its unexplained portion remains just under two thirds.
