Plodnice Fomes fomentarius byla použita k detailní studii distribuce kovů v houbách. Několikanásobně vyšší koncentrace Mn byly nalezeny v jádře, ve srovnání s ostatními částmi houby či dřeva.

Fruit body of Fomes fomentarius was used for detailed study of metal distribution within fungus and wood. Higher content of Mn was found in the core.
