    A novel type of autocatalytic cleavage of the peptide bond between aspartate and proline residues of RTX protein FrpC from Neisseria menigitidis was found. The results define a protein cleavage and cross-linking module of a new class of RTX proteins of Gram-negative pathogens.

    Charakterizovali jsme zcela novou biochemickou aktivitu RTX proteinů spočívající ve štěpení peptidové vazby mezi zbytky aspartátu a prolinu.
