    AnnotationAbsorption bands corresponding to the crystal-field excitation in Pr1.05Ba1.88Cu2.39Al0.34O6 + y and Pr0.93Ba1.93Sr0.13Mg0.05Cu2.74O6 + y have been observed by Raman scattering and infrared transmission spectroscopy. This analysis confirmes that the phenomenological crystal-field parameters follow the trends reported in NdBa2Cu3O6 and SmBa2Cu3O6
