    AnnotationFied and temperature dependences of magnetization have been measured for the first time along the principle axies of a LuFe1 0Si2 single crystal. The compounds is a ferromagnet with spontaneous magnetic moment 18.0 .mu.B per formula unit, Curie temerature 540K abd uniaxial magnetic anisotropy described by first anisotropy constant 1.77 MJ/m3
