We tested the effects of aminoesters of fatty acids, classed among lysosomotropic antifungals (LA), on membrane potential and the activity of Pdr5p, Snq2p and Yor1p MDR pumps in S. cerevisiae. Depending on their chemical structure and concentration, the LA displayed (a) membrane depolarization, (b) interaction with MDR pumps, and (c) membrane damage leading to cell permeabilization. Only 3 of the tested compounds interacted with the MDR pumps. Relatively small changes in chemical structure led to considerable differences in the mode and magnitude of effects on the cells

Studovali jsem vliv aminoesterů mastných kyselin, patřících mezi lysosomotropní protihoubové látky (LA), na membránový potenciál a aktivitu MDR pump Pdr5p, Snq2p a Yor1p u S. cerevisiae. V závislosti na chemické struktuře a koncentraci, LA vykazovaly (a) depolarizaci membrány, (b) interakci a MDR pumpami a (c) poškození membrány vedoucí k permeabilizaci buněk. Pouze 3 zkoumané látky interagovaly s MDR pumpami. Relativně malé změny v chemické struktuře způsobily značné rozdíly v typu a velikosti vlivů na buňky
