AnnotationWe studied the effects of increased atmospheric pCO2 on the regulation of photosynthesis and Mehler activity in Trichodesmium using a membrane inlet mass spectrometer. Our data confirms previous results which show that during the period of nitrogen fixation, the Mehler reaction forms a major sink for the photosynthetic electrons
