We identified the biotransformation products and compared the metabolite compositions of the tissue cultures. The major biotransformation products of turpentine were trans-pinocarveol, trans-verbenol, verbenone, myrtenol, alpha-terpineol and trans-sobrerol, which correspond with the products of biotransformation of the individual monoterpenes.
