Diffusion of atoms is an inherent feature of matter. The rules describing the phenomenon are important from both purely practical and theoretical perspective: It is a rate controlling process, e.g., in phase transformations, crystallization, recrystallization and recovery, creep, sintering, surface treatments and in many others.

Difuze atomů je základním rysem hmoty. Pravidla popisující tento fenomén jsou důležitá jak z praktické, tak teoretické perspektivy: to je rychlost řídícího procesu ve fázových transformacích, krystalizaci, rekrystalizaci a zotavení, creepu, sintrování, povrchových precesech a v mnoha jiných.
