Zkoumání respirace u mutantů v signální dráze RAS/cAMP, která ovlivňuje stárnutí, ukázalo, že buňky divokého kmene a mutanta RASVal19 s krátkou dobou života a zrychleným stárnutím a apoptosou se liší v rychlosti respirace a jejích změnách po přidání pro- a antiapoptotických látek
