    AnnotationDifferences were found in the occurence of lactate dehydrogenase and malate dehydrogenase in sharks and rays, particulary with regard to the number of isozymes in the species Etmopterus spinax and Galeus melanostomus. Resistance of the enzymes to urea was especially high in fisch species that accumulate urea in comparison with teleosts
