Sodium chloride is considered to cause the early condensation in the Wilson zone of a steam turbine. Therefore, the nucleation rates of the water -- sodium chloride mixture is of key importance in the power cycle industry. The CNT is modified to be able to handle the electrolytic nature of the system and is employed to investigate the acceleration of the nucleation process due to the presence of sodium chloride in the steam.
